Brief Description

On Saturday, March 9th, 2013, come “Run with the Bears” on an all new 5K route (USATF cert. code GA13008WC) and 1 mile Fun Run through the Julia P. Bryant Elementary area immediately followed by the school’s annual “Spring Fling.” This exciting new 5K course begins and ends at Julia P. Bryant Elementary School. The 1 mile Fun Run will be held on a closely supervised course that takes participants around the perimeters of both the new and old JPB campuses.

With your paid registration you will receive a goody bag and a one of a kind long sleeve t-shirt with art work designed by local artist, teacher and elite runner, Carlee James. After the race, enjoy the beautiful JPB campus where you will be treated to music, food & door prize’s followed by an awards ceremony held in the school auditorium. If you enjoy games, bounce houses, food, and face painting, you will love the Julia P. Bryant Spring Fling. The Spring Fling will begin following the awards ceremony and end at 1:00. Proceeds from the Races and Spring Fling will benefit Julia P. Bryant Elementary School. PACKET PICK-UP – Race packets will be available for pick-up at Julia P Bryant School on Friday, March 8 3:00pm – 7:00pm RACE DAY: March 9 – Event begins and ends at the Julia P. Bryant Elementary School, Statesboro, GA. 6:30-7:30a.m. Onsite Registration/ Packet Pick up 8:00a.m. 5k Run/Walk 9:00a.m. 1-Mile Fun Run 10:00 a.m. Awards Ceremony Awards & Divisions: No duplication of prizes! Awards to top 3 M/F overall and top 3 M/F masters overall in the 5K Run. 5K Run Age Divisions (Awards to top 3 in each division M & F) 10 & under 11-14 15-19 20-24 25-29 30-34 35-39 40-44 45-49 50-54 55-59 60-64 65-69 70 & over.
