Additional Information
Welcome!
Join us for the Inaugural Partners for Life Police Appreciation Run / Walk on Sunday, May 15 to recognize National Police Appreciation Week.
Dedicated to the fallen officers in St. Petersburg this past winter, we invite athletes and supporters to show appreciation to our officers by participating in the:
• 7:00 am Officer Jeff Yaslowitz 10K Race / Walk
• 8:30 am Sergeant Tom Baitinger 5K Race / Walk
• 10:15 am Officer Dave Crawford 1 Mile Walk to Remember
These events are being established by Lorraine Yaslowitz in memory of Jeff, Tom, and Dave.
Lorraine and Jeff often ran together and competed at local races. That, combined with Lorraine's desire to memorialize Jeff in a positive way, to thank the Tampa Bay community for their support during this tragedy, and to thank police officers everywhere, motivated Lorraine to establish the Partners for Life Foundation.
ALL proceeds from the race will be distributed by Lorraine and her Partners for Life Foundation to area non-profits in Jeff's name.
Of all the fundraisers / memorials that have taken place, this is the first that Lorraine is creating on her own to remember her husband Jeff and his partners, Tom and Dave.
All courses are in downtown St. Petersburg and will feature the dowtown waterfront and other unique aspects of St. Petersburg. They are mostly flat and aesthetically varied. Courses are being finalized, so please be patient.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Florida's weather in mid-May should be mild, average low is 71, so please make sure you are properly hydrated with water.
USATF SANCTIONED
All our races are sanctioned and insured through USATF for runners, joggers, and walkers ONLY. Strollers, skaters, skateboards and bicycles are NOT allowed on the course during our races.
HEADPHONES AND IPODS
Headphones of any type are now allowed at USATF sanctioned events, but are discouraged due to safety concerns, not only during the actual race, but as importantly, while athletes are training in an uncontrolled environment. Individual races may impose their own regulations, but we don’t, as it would be nearly impossible to enforce.
FITNESS WALKERS
Are welcome in all of our events and encouraged to participate. Walkers in our 10K and 5K Race expecting to finish slower than a 20-minute per mile pace may be asked to walk on the sidewalks so that roads can re-open to traffic.
