Join us as we run to find a cure for Ovarian Cancer. Proceeds from the race go to FamiliesROC, a not-for-profit organization that promotes health and wellness for ovarian cancer patients and their families. We support research and awareness of this silent killer and distributes funds to the Washington University Research Group for Ovarian Cancer, the National Ovarian Cancer Alliance, and to our local awareness organization SLOCA. The 1 mile run will immediately follow the 5K finish.
Race will begin in the Upper Muny lot and wind its way through St. Louis's finest gem, Forest Park. The race will take place entirely on the road surface and will be officially CHIP TIMED by Big River Running Company.
T-shirts & race numbers can be picked up beginning Friday, Septembe 24, 2010 @ Big River Running, 5352 Devonshire Rd., St. Louis, Mo, 63109 during normal business hours. Race morning packet pick up is also available.
**Cash prizes for the top 3 male/female finishers overall **prizes for top team finish **Medals for top 3 male/female age group finishers. **Fist 1000 participants who sign up are gauranteed to receive long sleeve t-shirt and race goodie bag.
There is a registration discount for organized Teams of 4.Team awards will go to the most creative team name, fastest team time, most funds raised, and best team costume. So get your friends together and join the fun.
Survivors who walk/run will be given a special teal t-shirt to designate their winning the battle as well as special treats and gifts. This is a race to celebrate the human spirit's ability to overcome odds, and we will be celebrating the survivors and their families. Come and walk/run with your fellow survivors and feel the joy and comradarie.
