Description
The Rock4Kids "Paint the Run" is the last in our series of three runs for kids during the 2012-2013 academic year. The event is open to kids pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Families may run/walk together but they must all register if they wish to receive a t-shirt and medal.
Kid's will be "painted" at anywhere from two-four stations on the course. The "paint" is comprised of a food grade colored cornstarch. It will not harm skin or eyes. Most of the color will wash out of clothes but this is not guaranteed so dress accordingly. Finishers receive Rock4Kids medals and all participants receive white short sleeve cotton t-shirts. They should wear their race shirts on the day of the race so that they can "color" their shirts.
Event schedule and times
Run distances vary: .25 miles for Pre-K and K; .50 miles for 1-2 grade; 1 mile for 3-4 grade; 1.5 miles for 5-6 grade. Parents and students may choose a distance. These are recommendations. The .25 mile race will start at 10 AM; all other races begin at 10:15 AM.
Runners must be on site 15 minutes prior to their race time. Parking will be located near the school. Watch for more information concerning parking through emails.
