HIT THE ROAD JACK, the premier wine country run, is now in its 23rd year. HIT THE ROAD JACK'S 10K course is officially certified by the United States of America Track & Field Association (# CA10011TK). HIT THE ROAD JACK also offers a 2.2 mile, non-certified, course. Both courses are open to competitive and casual runners and walkers.
The Run begins and ends at the historic Sonoma Plaza. Both the 10K and 2.2 mile are loop courses that wind through the vineyards and the beautiful Sonoma countryside, offering beautiful scenery and views of the Sonoma Valley countryside.
HIT THE ROAD JACK has become well known for its outstanding refreshments and live music following the race. Awards are presented to the top runners in each category. All runners receive a T-shirt. An entire day of activities follows the Run at the Sonoma Plaza, including the Art Fair and the Annual Ox Roast benefiting the Sonoma Community Center.
All proceeds of HIT THE ROAD JACK directly benefit the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation.
