The Race

The 11th Annual Huff 'N Puff on the Bluff 15K is a race and relay to benefit the American Red Cross of Northwest Alabama. The race will be administered by the Tennessee River Athletic Club (TRAC).

The Course

The 15K course is a challenging but scenic tour along the banks of the Tennessee River and through historic downtown Sheffield Alabama. The course is USATF certified, certification number AL04005JD. NOTICE! Time Limit

This year the race will be limited to 2 hours. After 2 hours the course sentries and police protection will end. Please do not register for this race if you (or your relay team) cannot finish in 2 hours.

Relay Teams

The relay race will be three 5K segments. Three person teams will run one segment each, two person teams can run 10K/5K, 5K/10K, or alternate 5K segments. Transportation will be provided to and from the transition points. RELAY TEAMS MUST REGISTER BY FRIDAY, MARCH 8, AND WILL BE LIMITED TO 25 TEAMS. THERE WILL BE NO RELAY TEAM REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY.

Post Race

The Locke 6 Band will entertain in the Recreation Center gymnasium following the race. Relax and enjoy a wide selection of refreshments compliments of local businesses while listening to the band.

Prize Money

Prize money will be awarded to the top 3 overall male and female finishers (1st - $200, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $50). In addition, the top overall male and female in the master's division will receive $150. Prize money provided by Spires & Associates and other sponsors.

Awards

Awards will be given for first overall male and female, first male and female masters, and top three male and female finishers in 5-year age groups through 70. The number of teams competing will determine relay awards. Award presentations will be made in the Recreation Center gymnasium. Each participant will receive a commemorative Huff 'N Puff long-sleeved T-shirt. Persons registering prior to February 25 are guaranteed a shirt on race day. Sizes are not guaranteed for race day registrants.

Packet Pickup

Pre-registered entrants may pick up their runner packets at the Sheffield Recreation Center on Friday, March 8, between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. You may also register for the race during those hours. All relay teams must be registered by 6:00 PM on Friday.
