Brief Description

The Seaside Beach Run began back in 1966 by two lifeguards - Ralph and Betty Davis. It was an 8 mile run. In 1974, the Beach Run was reduced to 7 miles and peaked in 1978 with 1200 runners! The Beach Run is now a 10K/5K event including the 5K Prom Walk -- timed and untimed. It is a great local tradition following the Relay-for-Life and preceding the Hood to Coast. So, get on those running (walking) shoes!
