Additional Information

The Saratoga County Veterans Trust and Agency Fund disperses funds solely for the provision of training, education, health care, housing and essential services for Saratoga County veterans and their dependents, and for the benefit of groups, organizations, programs and projects dedicated to the welfare and support of veterans. The Saratoga County Board of Supervisors established the Fund in 2011. The Town of Saratoga is best known as the location that British General John Burgoyne surrendered to American General Horatio Gates at the end of the Battle of Saratoga on October 17, 1777, cited as the turning point of the Revolutionary war. The Revolutionary Run for Veterans will begin at the historic Fort Hardy Park, where the British laid their arms after the battle of Saratoga.
