IF YOU WOULD STILL LIKE TO JOIN OUR TEAM, PLEASE REGISTER YOURSELF DIRECTLY WITH THE SANTA MONICA 5000 AT SANTAMONICA5000.COM AND THEN LET US KNOW BY EMAILING JMORABITO@WOMENFORWOMEN.ORG. YOU CAN STILL SET UP A PERSONAL FUNDRAISING WEBPAGE AT http://www.active.com/donate/RFCWteamsm50002010.

Additional Information

Step 1: Register here to join TEAM CONGO for the Santa Monica. (By joining TEAM CONGO, your registration fee in the race is covered by Women for Women International and in return you're committing to a fundraising minimum of $125 per adult or $50 per child participating in the 2.7K race. You do NOT need to register on the Santa Monica 5000 website - we will take care of that for all TEAM CONGO members.)

Step 2: Set up your fundraising webpage and start fundraising to meet (and beat!) your $125 minimum! For tips and tools, visit the toolkit on www.runforcongowomen.org.

Step 3: We'll contact you about meeting up with your TEAM CONGO teammates at the event. We'll also mail you a Run for Congo Women t-shirt.

If you have any questions about TEAM CONGO, please contact Jennifer at jmorabito@womenforwomen.org.

We're excited to have you join us!

The Santa Monica 5000 will feature both a 5K and 10K race for all participants. Both courses start at the beach in Ocean Park. With multiple distances for multiple age groups, the Santa Monica 5000 is the perfect race for everyone from beginners or seasoned pros.

Additional details about the event itself can be found at the Santa Monica 5000 website at http://www.santamonica5000.com/info.html

Funds raised here benefit the entirety of our DR Congo program and cannot be applied to a sponsorship of a woman in our program.
