Run or walk along side Forrest Gump, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and your favorite Peanuts characters as you pass your favorite park rides and attractions. Enjoy a delicious lunch from Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. as you cross the finish line. All proceeds benefit United Way Silicon Valley. Parking and admission to California’s Great America is free with paid race registration! Please bring a non-perishable food item to help kick off United Way’s Hunger Action Week (www.uwsv.org/hunger)

About this year's Race

This year the event is STRICTLY A FUN RUN AND WALK- THERE WILL BE NO OFFICIAL TIMING. There will be a clock at the finish so you can know your time but no officail results will be posted The event will feature a 5K Run as well as a COMPLETE 5K Walk too! Walkers who prefer a shorter course will be able to exit after 1K if they wish.

Parking and Entry

Enter parking from Great America Parkway and follow directions to Pavilion gates. Parking is free provided you show your receipt and/or race #. 6:30 Am Registration / 8:06 AM Start. All participants will pick up race packet on race day starting at 6:30 am. Strollers and Wagons are welcome, but please no Pets, Skates or Skateboards. [

Lodging

The Hilton Santa Clara is the official Hotel for "Run Forrest Run" at Great America. Located directly across from the entrance to the race it's the perfect place to relax and get an early start the next day!

Meadllions

Every finisher gets a specail mediallion this year!Alos everyon is entered into a drawing for great prizes from Bubba Gump along with other great stuff , so everyone has a chance to win!

Grand Prize

Grand prize again this year for the first Male and Female finishers is a trip to the Monterey "Run Forrest Run" in November 2010. Prize includes Hotel, dinner for Two at Bubba Gump and Tickets to the Monterey Bay Aquarium

Race Day Entertainment

Pre race entertainment, Kids activities and your chance to compare shoes, as well as warm up along with "Forrest Gump" will all take place at the Pavilion. Race day registration and race packet pickup will also be available at the gates to the Pavilion from the Parking lot.
