Running for a Cause:

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Kidz2Leaders program. kidz2leaders®, inc. exists to help change the lives of prisoners’ children in the metro-Atlanta and to break the vicious cycle of incarceration. We help them rise above their circumstances, teach them to become leaders and provide a life of hope. kidz2leaders hosts an annual summer camp, Camp Hope, as the entry point into these children’s lives.

The Cause Continued

In Camp Hope’s 12 years, kidz2leaders has worked with over 400 campers and their families. While Camp Hope happens just once a year, kidz2leaders has ongoing relationships with the kids. One-fourth of the children work with mentors, a program they hope to grow to 100% participation. The hope4christmas program ensures their families have gifts and groceries over Christmas. There are also counselor retreats and other events throughout the year to keep the kids connected and focused on their goals.

Race Site & Parking

The race will start and finish at the Perimeter Place Office Building at the corner of Mt. Vernon Hwy and Barfield Road in Sandy Springs. The address is 800 Mt. Vernon Hwy NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30346. Parking is available in the vacant lot across the street from the Perimeter Place Office Building, and the church at the corner of Mt. Vernon hwy and Glenridge Road (about 1/4 mile from the race site). Please observe any posted parking regulations.

Race Day Registration

Participants may register for the 5K run/walk at the race site on Saturday morning beginning at 6:30am. Race day entry fee is $25 for adults, and $15 for children 18 & under.

Race # Pick-up

Participants who registered in advance via online or mail will pick-up their race number on race day at the race site beginning at 6:30am. There is NO early race number pick-up. NO race number will be mailed.
