Brief Description

Welcome to San Diego’s ultimate trail running series called “King of the Hill” - Trail Running with an Attitude. The “King of the Hill” series will consist of running, walking or stumbling three (3) of San Diego County’s most challenging mountain peaks. Plus you will encounter various fitness tasks along the way. Just like when you were a kid playing this game, you too must run, walk, or stumble to the top as fast as you can,touch the flag and run back down again.

Mt Woodson 6.6 Mile Trail Run

DATE: January 29, 2011 @ 8 AM LOCATION: Mt Woodson, Poway, CA RACE START: The race will begin in the upper parking lot of Lake Poway off Espola Rd. PACKET PICK-UP: Jan. 28 from 4-7 PM (Limited pick-up race day from 6-7 AM with a good excuse) RACE DAY REGISTRATION: $50 & 10 Burpees

Iron Mountain 6.4 Mile & 9 Mile Trail Run

DATE: March 26 , 2011 @ 7 AM LOCATION: Iron Mountain, Poway, CA RACE START: The race will begin in the main parking lot on the corner of Highway 67 & Poway Rd. PACKET PICK-UP: March 25 from 4-7 PM (Limited pick-up race day from 6 - 6:30 AM with a good excuse) RACE DAY REGISTRATION: $50 & 10 Burpees

El Capitan 6.6 Mile & 13.1 Mile Trail Run

DATE: Oct 22, 2011 @ 8 AM LOCATION: El Capitan, Lakeside, CA RACE START: The race will begin in the main parking lot called El Capitan Open Space Reserve off of Wildcat Canyon Rd. PACKET PICK-UP: Thursday, Oct. 20th from 4:30-7:00PM at Road Runner Sports RACE DAY REGISTRATION: $50 & 10 Burpees *This could change due to fire issues but we will find another mountain if need be.*

Not Allowed!

No dogs or baby strollers allowed on the course. Please do not trespass onto private property. Headphones, I-pods, or MP3 players may not be used during the race. Those not in compliance will be disqualified. There are rattlesnakes, mountain lions, coyotes & Bigfoot out there. Hate to see you get bit by a snake while jamming to New Kids on the Block!

In closing

Hey Gang, these are incredibly beautiful but challenging trails. They will be tough but VERY rewarding when you finish. Enjoy it. Have fun. But please be respectful of the trails. Let's get 'er done and have a great time afterwards!
