Brief Description

This is a great 10k in Salisbury Massachusetts! The race will begin in Lions Park and 1.8 miles will be on the Ghost Trail, which is a dirt road. A beautiful race for Easter time!

In Memory

Kendra Kurth Clinton was the designer of this logo and unexpectedly past away. We would like to race in her honor.

Registration

Registration begins at Lions Park at 9am. Costs are – $30 pre and $35 race day. The 3 mile walk costs are – $10 pre and $15 race day.

Parking

All parking is located at the Senior Center and DPW (Lafayette Road) behind Lions Park. Heat Event Management is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Benefit

The Tortoise and the Hare 10k will benefit the Coastal Trail and Salisbury Park and Recreation Department. You may donate directly to either organization or both! Thank you for your support!

Kids 1K

Children can participate in the 1K run that starts/finish at the Ghost Trail.

Walk

The race will include a 3 mile walk, all walkers will start behind the 10k runners. Cost – $10 pre and $15 race day

Shirts

These shirts are great but limited!!! Sign up until March 6, 2013 to make sure you get a shirt. (female participants will receive a fitted female shirt)

Race Refunds

Sorry, no refunds, no exceptions! UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL A RACE ENTRANT BE ALLOWED TO TRANSFER, SELL OR SUBSTITUTE ANOTHER ATHLETE AT ANY TIME. The event organizer has the right to shorten or even cancel the event if, in his or her judgment, environmental conditions including weather become dangerous; in this situation no refunds will be given.

Post Party

The post party is located after the race at Lions Park. If the weather is an issue, we will have registration and post party activities at the Senior Center.

Chip Timing

This race will be timed! All racers will need to place their bibs on their shirts, the chip is located in the bib!

Awards

Awards and prizes will be given to the overall top male and top female. Awards will be given to top three in each age catagory.

Additional Information

There are indoors bathrooms, food for purchase, popcorn machine, games for kids and a 1k fun run for the kids around the ball field. Proceeds benefit the Coastal Trail and Salisbury Parks and Recreation. Come down and bring the kids!
