Brief Description

$20 day of race. You can also register on 1st floor of Willamette's Putnam University Center or the day of the race starting at 8am. Register by Tuesday January 15th (11:59pm) to receive t-shirt.

Come join Willamette University students, faculty and staff along with members of the community to celebrate diversity and honor the memory of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Proceeds will go to the Salem Multicultural Institute .

Register now for the Stride Toward Freedom – Willamette University MLK, Jr. 5k Run/1 Mile Walk on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 9:00 am!

Registration and pick-up from 8:00 - 9:00 am. Participants meet on the Willamette University campus at Brown Field, right off Mill St. (and Winter St.). We welcome walkers and runners!

T-Shirt included for those that register by Tuesday January 15, 2013 (11:59pm).

PROCEEDS go to the Salem Multicultural Institute (description below).

Salem Multicultural Institute (SMI) is the local non-profit that owns and creates the annual World Beat Festival, Oregon's largest multicultural celebration, held each June at Riverfront Park. Our mission is to promote an appreciation and understanding of the cultural diversity in our community.
