Brief Description

The inaugural AM Fun Run is a twilight run, held along the banks of the Missouri River in St. Charles. The race starts in Frontier Park on the Katy Trail. 10k and 5k runs along with a 1.5 mile walk provide a distance for all abilities.

Event & Course Info

The race starts in Frontier Park on the Katy Trail near the Old Train Depot at 7:00pm. All Events head north on the Katy Trail, and return to Frontier to finish near the bandstand.

5K

The 5k turns east at Blanchette Landing (Olive Street) and enters the new Eco Trail to the north. The runners emerge from the trail at the French August Regot Area, make a loop around the north paved path then return to the Katy Trail , south to the finish. (90% unpaved, crushed limestone and dirt trails, 10% paved)

10K

The 10k participants mimic the 5k runners but do not turn off at Blanchette Landing. They continue all the way to the north end of Ed Bales Park , turn left onto North Main and return south to French August Regot area where they head north again on a trail that parallels the Katy Trail. When they reach the north end, they hop onto the Katy Trail and return south to the finish. (85% crushed limestone, 15% paved)

1.5 Mile Walk

The 1.5 mile walk will start with the runners, but turn off quite early to circle around Frontier Park along the river to the south. The route passes over a footbridge, passes by the Veterans Memorial on Bishops Landing. The walkers then get a visual treat when they make a loop on the large floating pier in the Missouri River. The route then circles back through the park to the finish line. (10% crushed limestone, 90% paved)
