Brief Description

Join us for our fourth annual Whale of a 5k Trail Race & Kid's Fun Run in Odiorne Point State Park (part of the Portsmouth Community Road Race Series www.pcrrs.org).Our cross-country, chip timed trail run was created by Eastern Mountain Sports' Extreme Team captain, Jennifer Shultis, and will bring you through the forest, rocky shore, sandy beach, and alongside historic military fortifications. The Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under includes a 100 yard dash and/or a 1/2 mile run.

Additional Information

Limited to 800 5k runners and 250 Fun Run participants. Come prepared to run on varied terrain and whatever the weather may bring. Competitive and non-competitive runners are welcome.5k participants under age 12 should be accompanied by an adult. No dogs please. NEW: This year we will do CHIP TIMING. Please be sure to indicate your average speed on your registration form as we will run the race in 3 waves to ensure the trail doesn't get too crowded. Prizes will be awarded for winners in different age and gender categories for the Whale of a 5k Race. Men & Women, 12 and under, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and above. Prizes will be awarded to ALL Kid's Fun Run participants. T-shirts are available to the first 150 5k Race registrants. This races is part of the Portsmouth Community Road Race Series.
