Brief Description

The Roseville Big Bird Run consists of a 10K, 4K and 1 mile Fun Run and attracts runners of all ages from Michigan and Windsor, Canada. Event coordinated by the Recreational Authority of Roseville & Eastpointe and the Rsvl Police Dept. Last year’s Big Bird Run had over 900 runners. sponsors include Petitpren Distributors, Inc. and Hanson’s Running Shops. Proceeds from the event are given to the Comm. Svc. Organizations who provide volunteers.

Distance: 6.2 miles certified by the Road Running Technical Council and USA Track & Field. Course: Start and finish at the Roseville Recreation Center. Includes a circular ramp, pedestrian bridge over I-696 (the only hill on the course). Safe and accurate with mile markers and splits at each mile. Age Divisions: MEN 14 & Under 35-39 60-64 15-19 40-44 65-69 20-24 45-49 70-74 25-29 50-54 75-79 30-34 55-59 80 & Older WOMEN: 14 & Under, 35-39, 60-64 15-19, 40-44, 65-69 20-24, 45-49, 70-74 25-29, 50-54 ,75 & Older 30-34 ,55-59 Awards Each age division winner in the 10K run will receive distinctive awards from Petilpren Inc., Distributors of Michelob Ultra. Other awards through 3rd place in popular divisions of the 10K. Race Summary 2009 Conditions: Partly Sunny, 54 degrees - Participation: 791. Men’s Winner: Nick Krus (33.27). Women’s Winner: Desiree Davila (34.06). 2010 Conditions: Partly Sunny, Mild Breeze 48 degrees, - Participation: 925. Men’s Winner: Matt Fecht (32.57). Women’s Winner: Kelsie Schwartz (38.46). 2011 Conditions: Windy & Cloudy, 52 degrees, - Participation: 856. Men’s Winner: Brendan Martin (30.50). Women’s Winner: Kelsie Schwartz (38.30
