The MVP Health Care Rochester Marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier. The Marathon and Half-Marathon Courses are USATF certified. Runners will pass through the City of Rochester before turning onto the historic Erie Canal Path. The canal will take them back into the City of Rochester, ending in a festival atmosphere with live music in front of Frontier Field. Visit www.RochesterMarathon.com for more details.
MVP Health Care Rochester Marathon is entering its sixth year and has been described as one of the best small Marathons in the country. All proceeds benefit the Arthritis Foundation. Get Your Entry Fee Waived! Your entry fee will be waived if you fundraise a minimum of $100.00 for the Full Marathon, $75.00 for the Half Marathon or $200.00 for a Relay Team. It's easy - get pledges from friends, family and co-workers! You can even set up your own personal webpage to help make your fundraising even easier! You will help to support the mission of the Arthritis Foundation, and you'll get your entry fee waived! New for 2010: We’re Going Green! As this event continues to grow every year so does our process. This year The MVP Health Care Rochester Marathon is adopting an environmentally friendly – “Green” registration process. In the past we’ve wasted reams of paper for copies and distribution. In 2010 our mantra will be to reduce, reuse and recycle!
What this means to you: registration kits will be available online and encouraged to send via e-mail to reduce the number of mailings and printed materials. Participant race kits will be revised and the majority of materials will be placed online to view. Once registered, race confirmations will be sent via e-mail.
Entry fees are non-refundable (you may not give or sell your race number to anyone else!). You may transfer your 2010 entry fee to the 2011 Rochester Marathon for a transfer fee of $10.00; this request must be made by 9/08/10. You have the option of switching between events for a change fee of $10.00; this request must be made by 9/08/10. If you choose our early departure option, there will be a $5.00 processing fee and you must fill out a disclaimer form.
