Brief Description

Join us Sunday May 23, 2010 for the Medved Lilac 10k and 5k Family Fun Run. The 10k begins at 9:00 am and serves as the USATF Niagara Association Open and Masters 10k Championship. The 5k Family Fun Run begins at 8:00 am.

Directions and Parking Information

Take I-90 to I-390 North; exit at East Henrietta Road, turn North (right) on East Henrietta Road, continue North and bear right at South Avenue; cross Elmwood Ave; Highland Park is on the right. Free Parking will be available in the Goodman Street and Elmwood Avenue Festival lots until race start.

Medved Lilac T-Shirts to the first 1500 entrants Post race food and refreshments Digital display clock at 1 mile, 5k, 5 mile and finish Water stops at 2 and 4 miles Splits every mile and at 5k Computerized race results by PCR Timing

Race Course

Both the 10k course (NY06108KL) and the 5k course (NY06110KL) start and finish on Highland Avenue near the purple crosswalk. Both courses are certified to be accurate by USA Track & Field.

Pre-Registration Information

Families of 4 or more may deduct $2 from each entry, but entries must be submitted together at Medved Running and Walking Outfitters, 3400 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618. 10k and 5k special: Run both distances for $27 prior to race day; $30 on race day.

Packet Pick-Up Information

Available at Medved Running and Walking Outfitters, 3400 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618, Friday May 21st from 12pm to 9pm and Saturday May 22nd, from 10am to 5pm. Race Day Registration and packet pick-up will begin at 7am at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Building, 249 Highland Avenue.

10k Awards

1st: $600 2nd: $400 3rd: $275 4th: $150 5th: $100 Masters (M/F 40+): $125 Age Group Winners receive a Medved Gift Certificate and a pair of Thorlo socks.

5k Family Fun Run Awards

$100 to overall Male/Female Winners. Custom Lilac 5k medals to all age group winners and to finishing Brighton resident. Medals to top 3 teams in each of the 5k family divisions: Husband/Wife; Father/Son; Father/Daughter; Mother/Son; Mother/Daughter; Brother/Brother; Sister/Sister; Brother/Sister; Grandparent/Grandchild.

5k Family Fun Run Awards

$100 to overall Male/Female Winners. Custom Lilac 5k medals to all age group winners and to finishing Brighton resident. Medals to top 3 teams in each of the 5k family divisions: Husband/Wife; Father/Son; Father/Daughter; Mother/Son; Mother/Daughter; Brother/Brother; Sister/Sister; Brother/Sister; Grandparent/Grandchild.

Safety Information

Medical Assistance on course for runners. Bicycles, rollerskates, rollerblades, skateboards and dogs are prohibited.
