"Miles for Mary" is an event organized to raise funds for the medical expenses of Mary Van Alst of Reese who has been battling breast cancer for the past five years. Two years ago it spread through her body and recently found out that she also has three tumors in her brain. Mary continues to keep a strong faith in God and that "All things are possible to those who believe!" All proceeds from the event will be donated directly to the family to be used for medical expenses incurred from treatment.

T-shirts will be provided at no extra charge to each participant and prizes will be given to the winner of each age group in the 5K. The race will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2010.
