This first-year race, named in memory of Sue Hoying, will start and finish at St. Raphael Catholic School located at 5801 Falls of Neuse Road in North Raleigh. Sue taught in the Diocese of Raleigh for 23 years before her death in 2007, and an endowment has been established in her memory.
The 5K starts at 9 am, and the Fun Run begins at 10 am.
The entry fee for the 5K is $20, $25 after October 18. There is a special family fee for three or more members of the same family, That fee is $50, or $65 after October 18. The fee for the one-mile fun run is $10 per person with no late fee. The entry fee includes a t-shirt - guaranteed to those registered by October 18.
The 5K is timed with ChampionChip technology. No official times will be taken in the mile, but there will be a digital clock at the finish line.
Race packets can be picked up and late entrants can register on Friday, October 31 from 11 am - 1 pm at the Parish Center at 5801 Falls of Neuse Road or on race day beginning at 7 am.
