Brief Description

Join OHSU medical students on this 5k run/hike through the Marquam Nature Park forested hills surrounding the OHSU campus. In addition to enjoying a beautiful Oregon spring day your registration helps sustain some of Portland's safety-net clinics. In this race everybody wins! Strollers not recommended. Friendly dogs welcome on leash.

Directions

The #8 TriMet bus will get you to the OHSU campus, as will these driving directions. The race start will be at the uphill end of campus as you follow Sam Jackson Park Road. We will meet up in the Old Library/Auditorium building, marked "11" on this map. Parking is free.

The Wallace Medical Concern is a safety-net clinic providing basic health services to those who are uninsured and low-income.

As part of Healthcare Equality Week, OHSU students join with the community to run a health screening fair for the uninsured in O'Bryant Square. Read the OHSU media release here

The annual Hills for Humanity Trail Run & Hike is organized by OHSU medical students in conjunction with Healthcare Equality Week. For the past seven years, Hills for Humanity has raised monetary support for community safety net clinics, such as the North by Northeast Clinic, Garlington Behavioral Health Clinic, Wallace Medical Concern, and SW Community Health Center. Start times will be staggered by estimated paces. These trails are well-cleared, marked, and wooded; be prepared for the hills. Awards and prize drawing after the race.
