Brief Description

This is an afternoon/evening event that includes admission, food and beverage at a Charlotte Stone Crabs professional ballgame. This is a special event to celebrate national Healthy Kids Day for YMCAs across the country.This event takes placed at the spring training home of the Tampa Bay Rays major league baseball team.

Additional Information

Timing for the 5k is handled by Zoomers and the awads for overall, master, grandmaster, senior grandmaster, veterans and three-deep in the usual 5-year age categories. All who register for the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk will recv participant ribbons. Proceeds from the event benefit Healthy Kids Programs and the Prevention of Childhood Obesity. This will be one of the most complete, fun-filled events in southwest Florida. There will be silent auction items and great goody bags for all registered. The registration fee INCLUDES a reserved ticket to the game, a meal ticket and parking. A wash-up, freshen up area will be provided post-race as all who compete are encouraged to stay on the grounds of the stadium for refreshments, awards, carnival, silent auction and the ballgame first pitch at 7 p.m. Also included with each registration or additional ticket is admission to a free kids carnival at the stadium and a special appearance by the BLING KING an entertaining crowd-pleaser and the Stone Crabs mascot STONEY.
