Directions

From ferry, go straight through light after exiting ferry. Turn right on Alister at next light. Turn left on Beach Street @ Castaways restaurant. Follow Beach Street all the way to beach. Race is on beach at Beach Street. From Hwy. 361 (Park Road), follow highway into Port Aransas passing light at Avenue G. Turn right on Beach Street. Follow Beach Street all the way to beach. Race is on beach at Beach Street.

Race Category Restrictions

Kids' Dash events are for kids 0-10 years only. Kids can walk, run, skip, crawl, or be helped by parents in jog strollers or front packs - all who cross the finish line some way some how will receive a medal. All ages are welcome in 5K Run, 10K Run and 2-Mile WALK. There is no minimum age. Please note that the 2-Mile event is WALKING ONLY. Any 2-Mile participants who run will be disqualified.

Schedule of Events

KIDS' DASH racers are lined up at 7:55AM and walked to their starting lines. KIDS' DASH race will start promptly at 8:00AM. 2-Mile Walk, 5K and 10K will start shortly after KIDS' DASH finish (about 8:10AM).

KIDS' TENT

Kids registered in the KIDS' DASH may play in the Kids' Tent while their parents participate in the 2-Mile Walk, 5K or 10K. The Kids' Tent is manned by Kiwanis Club members and community volunteers. Kids are checked in with ID system & treated to Beach Dash cake and punch & are entertained by professional sand sculptor Mark Landrum. Please make sure kids have warm clothing as it can get chilly in February!
