Brief Description

This popular event is growing bigger every year! The 5K course (the course is slightly less than a full 5K) starts on Crescent Drive. It goes through the downtown area and follows the same route as the Fourth of July parade which begins immediately after the race. Runners make 3 laps around the course. Prizes will be awarded.

Day of Race Registration - July 4

On-line registration has closed, but you can register the morning of the run beginning at 6:30 a.m. by the Clock Tower on Crescent Drive. We suggest you arrive early as the run must begin at 8 a.m. sharp since it will be followed by the annual 4th of July Parade. Hope to see you there.

Additional Information

Commemorative Firecracker Fun Run T-Shirt
Your early registration fee includes your commemorative Firecracker Fun Run T-Shirt. If you register on or before June 23, 2011, your T-Shirt will be waiting for you at the check-in station on the morning of the run. If you register after June 23, 2011, you will not recieve a shirt, so REGISTER EARLY.

100 yard dash for kids 7 and under
The 5k race is preceded by a 100 yard dash for kids 7 and under. For youngsters age 7 & under there is no registration fee and no T-Shirt. But these youngsters should still register, so we will be expecting them on the morning of the race.

Parking
Parking is available at the multi-story parking lot on Crescent Drive across the street from the Century 16 Theater. Note that the Crescent Drive entry/exit to this parking lot will be closed from 7:00 am till 11 am. The entry/exit on Contra Costa Boulevard will remain open. Remember, at the time you register you may designate the local Pleasant Hill school you would like to receive the net proceeds from your entry fee.
