Event Description
The Heroes for Children 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at The Shops at Legacy in Plano. Join us for a full morning of exercise, music, food, and fun all for a great cause! Run or walk in the 5K or choose to do the 1 mile fun run instead. There will be bounce houses, face painting, fire trucks, and much more to entertain the kids. Plus, award-winning children's entertainer, DAVID CHICKEN, will return for another unforgettable post-race concert for racers and families! Pre-race ceremonies kick-off at 7:30 am, followed by the 1 mile fun run at 7:45 and the 5K at 8:15. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month so please join us in our mission to provide financial and social assistance to families in Texas with children battling cancer.
Team Registration
A team consists of ten or more people who register for the run. Your team may include coworkers, family, friends, neighbors, etc. Each team should have a Team Captain to serve as the primary contact, to encourage team participation/fundraising, and to facilitate the team registration process. Team captains can click on the "Team Captains - Create Your Team" button above to create their team.
Team awards will be presented for top fundraising team, largest team, best team spirit, outstanding team captain. Rally your company or group together and start a team today!
