Brief Description

The aim of this family friendly event is to raise awareness and money for MIRA Foundation USA. Come run or walk the beautiful trail course around the Southern Pines Reservoir. Registration is available on active.com or by mailing in a registration form. Please mail in paper registration forms to: Tonya Smith, MIRA USA, 112 N. Poplar St., Aberdeen, NC 28315. Please make checks payable to “MIRA Foundation USA, Inc.”

Race Day Schedule (7:30-8:30 a.m. Walk-up race registration & Check-in) (8:45 a.m. Opening Remarks) (9:00 a.m. 5K Begins) (10:00 a.m. Award Ceremony) Fees - $25 Registration Fee for each participant which includes participation in the fun run, a t-shirt (while supplies last) and refreshments before & after the run. We encourage all participants to find sponsors using the Sponsorship Form to help further support MIRA. This is a great way to encourage family & friends to get involved and help a great cause at the same time! Packet Pick-Up - Pre-registered participants may pick up their event packet on Friday, October 19th from 8 a.m.-Noon & 5-7 p.m. in the Dempsey Student Center at Sandhills Community College, 3395 Airport Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374. Registered participants may also pick up packets from 7:30-8:30 a.m. on Race Day, but we encourage you to pick them up the day before to avoid lines. Awards - A 1st place award will be given to the top male & female finishers 16 & under and the top male & female finishers over 16. T-shirts will be given to participants on a first-come, first-served basis. We highly encourage you to pick up your t-shirt and bib number on Friday, October 19th from 8am-Noon or 5-7pm to ensure you receive the size shirt you would prefer. MIRA FOUNDATION USA, INC. was founded by Robert Baillie, himself a guide dog user, as a non-profit corporation established to provide not only guide dogs but also training and services free of charge to qualified visually impaired individuals. MIRA USA is the only organization in the U.S. dedicated to providing guide dogs to blind children and youth between the ages of 11 - 17.
