Brief Description

Thirty-five years and running! Enjoy our rich history and join us for one of the oldest and most popular events on the Valley Running Calender! Originally staged in 1979 to showcase the talents of marathon legend Bill Rodgers, our event has hosted and American 10K record and boasts the deepest field of sub-thirty minute runners ever assembled (54 in 1984!) We are pleased to welcome back the Paradise Valley Mall Diaper Derby, a 50 yeard dash for kids up to 36 months of age.

Race Schedule

7:00 am Registration opens
8:00 am 5K Run & Fitness Walk
9:00 am Diaper Derby
9:15 am 10K Run.

Courses

Flat, fast with splits every mile. Aid stations at approximately 1.5 & 3.5 miles. Courses are flat and fast and both certified by USAT&F. Split time text messaging will be available in additon to finish line video

10K, 5K & Double Down Divisions/Awards

Special awards to the top male & female winners of the 10K and 5K Runs. The top three finishers in each of the following age groups in the 10K and 5K Runs will receive special awards: 11& under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & over. 5K Walk is chip timed but non-competitive. Awards to the over-all and top ten male & female combined timed finishers in the "Double Down"

Paradise Valley Mall Diaper Derby

Open to kids 36 months and younger, the Diaper Derby is returning after a 20 year absence. This 50 yard dash is the photo opportunity of the year and open to the first 150 entrants. Crawling, baby walkers and parental encouragement are welcomed and encouraged. To control the limit, online registration only. with no additional processing fee. Additional Information

Benefiting Girls on the Run serving Maricopa and Pinal Counties. Girls on the Run is an after school program for girls in grades 3-8. The program is designed to increase physical activity and emotional health by providing girls with the tools to make healthy decisions and form healthy self-images.
