Brief Description

The cheetah is the world’s fastest land animal. It may become extinct in the wild within the next 20 years. A race to save the remaining population of these magnificent animals is now under way. Run, walk or dash to help save the cheetah from extinction. Your entry fee directly benefits the Cheetah Conservation Fund based in Namibia, Africa. Event Schedule 6:30 a.m. Registration; 7:30 a.m. 5K Run/Walk; 7:40 a.m. 1 Mile Run; 8:30 a.m. 100 yard Cheetah dash for kids -FREE!; 9:00 a.m. Awards Ceremony/Post Race Party, raffle, music, food, animal themed displays and more! Meet Dr. Laurie Marker & Dr. Bruce Brewer who work with the cheetahs at CCF in Africa. They will be at the Run cheering everyone on and answering questions about the cheetahs! Laurie was named a 'Hero of the Planet' by Time Magazine! AGE GROUP AWARDS Framed Award Certificates will be presented to the top three Overall Male and Female finishers, and the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age brackets for the 5K: 9 and under, 10-14,15-19,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60-64,65-69,70-74,75-79,Over 80 Registration includes Run Shirt & Phoenix Zoo Entry on day of the Race! 5K Registration Fees - $25; 1 Mile Registration Fees -$20; VOLUNTEER SUPPORT Please contact David Bluestein, (480) 236-0811, or azbluestein@gmail.com, if you would like to be a volunteer.
