Team Trish Largest Team Award
Trish McDermott was murdered in 2005 and her family wanted to celebrate her life, rather than her traumatic death. PSR and Team Trish invite you to get a team together to honor and celebrate the life of a loved one lost to violence while supporting PSR’s work to reduce violence in Philadelphia. The largest team will receive the “Team Trish Award” in her honor.

Celebration of Youth
The Fourth Annual 5K Run/Walk will be followed by a Celebration of Youth, 9am to 12:30pm. The Celebration is organized for and by youth and will focus on positive youth behavior and accomplishments.
At this event, young people will be able to showcase their unique talents, resilience and potential for a future filled with hope, not harm. Interactive educational displays and speakers will provide young and old alike with the opportunity to learn about the impact of arms on our communities, city, country and the world. Participants will learn about how they can serve as agents for social change and begin to work to reduce violence in our communities.
Learning and fun will go hand in hand at this special event where we will celebrate our youth and all the amazing potential they hold. Any proceeds will support our on-going work to reduce youth violence in Philadelphia and build respect between individuals in our local and global communities.
