The Buffalo Run is a trail run through the beautiful Parkville Nature Sanctuary. You will run on stretches of woodchips, dirt, gravel, dear trails and across a by a wetland area. You will run past a waterfall, over several creek crossings on footbridges and through the Missouri River bluffs. It is one of the most scenic trails you will ever run.
The Parkville Nature Sanctuary is located just North of Downtown Parkville on 9 Highway and 12th Street (just North of the Park University track). A portion of the proceeds help fund projects at the Parkville Nature Sanctuary.
Kids Trail Run $15 (12 & under); 8K & 5K Early Fee $30 (students $25); 8K & 5K Race Day $35 (students $30)
Participants will receive a long sleeve Tee Shirt while supplies last. Runners who register by January 15 will be guaranteed the size they order. Entries received after are not guarenteed a shirt.
The Kids 1K Trail Run will start with the 8K & 5K Runs but the Kids will pull off finishing at 1K mark into the race (just past 1/2 mile).
The 5K Trail option is for those who have had enough and don't want to take on "The Hill" a second time.
It will be one of the more challenging and most beautiful 8Ks you will ever run. The trails are beautiful and you will probably see some wildlife along the route.
Awards will be given to all finishers of the Kids Run.
Awards will be given to the overall male & female finishers and the top three in the following age groups: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.
Awards will be presented at approximately 10:30 AM for all races.
Runners may register and pick up their packets Race Day at the Parkville Nature Sanctuary starting at 8:00 AM.
The footing can be uneven so please watch your step. Some portions are rocky and could be slick. Snowy or icy conditions may occur.
