Brief Description

POSTPONED/SANDY UPDATE: We hope everyone is safe and well in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. As you know, many people and businesses have been affected by the storm in many different ways. This is also true for Garden State Plaza. Garden State Plaza has opened up it's "doors" to assist with Sandy efforts by using their parking areas to house as many as 700 trucks that are here to assist with restoring our power outages. Amenities

Awesome breakfast! Music by our DJ! Warm-up Instructor! Custom-design red t-shirts to all 5K participants. Custom-design white t-shirts to all 1 Milers. (Shirts are guaranteed to pre-registrants; while supplies last for race day entrants.)

7:30 am - Registration opens; 8:45 am - 5K Road Race; 9:00 am - Breakfast; 9:30 am - 1 Mile Walk/Fun Run; 9:45 am - Awards Ceremony

5K Course

Flat, fast, and traffic free! This is a USATF certified course and is a 500 point Grand Prix event.

1 Mile

One loop around the Garden State Plaza mall and to the finish! Open to participants of all ages and abilities.

Awards

Awards will be given to the top 3 m/f overall finishers in the 5K and the top 3 m/f age group finishers as follows: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over. Ribbons to all 1M finishers.

Additional Information

Unfortunately, this change plus the temporary lift on Sunday "Blue Laws" has forced the decision to postpone the Garden State Plaza 5K. The decision was not made easily, but our top concerns fall to the safety of our participants and the priority that power restoration must take at this time. We will be announcing the rescheduled date as soon as possible and look forward to seeing you then. At this time, we have temporarily closed online registration to avoid any confusion, but will reopen it as soon as our date is confirmed. Thanks you for your understanding!
