Brief Description

Join us as we pay tribute to our injured servicemen and women at the 2012 Wounded Warrior Half Marathon, 5k, and Military Mile, hosted by Naval Base Ventura County.

Restrictions

All participants and guests age 18 and up must be US citizens and will be required to present a picture ID at the gate in order to gain entry to Naval Base Ventura County.

ADVANCE PACKET PICKUP

AVAILABLE FRIDAY, 9/14 AT TRI RUNNING IN CAMARILLO, CA BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 2:00PM-7:00PM. PICK UP YOUR PACKET ON FRIDAY EVENING TO SAVE TIME AND AVOID LONG LINES ON RACE DAY!

Packet Pickup

Advance Packet Pickup is highly recommended, but not mandatory. Packet pickup will also be available on race day from 0530-0715.

Half Marathon Awards

Awards for this event will be given to the top three men and women in each of the following age groups: 17& Under, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

5k Awards

Awards for this event will be given to the top three men and women in each of the following age groups: 17& Under, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

Military Mile Awards

Awards for this event will be given to the top three military and civilian men and women.

Course Time Limit

The half marathon course will close at 12:00pm, which allows competitors 4.5 hours to complete the event. Walkers and participants with strollers are welcome, provided they can complete the distance within the allotted time.

Timing

This event will be chip timed by Eternal Timing. Race results can be found at www.eternaltiming.com shortly after the event has concluded.

Additional Information

This unique Half Marathon is held at NBVC Point Mugu and offers a FAST, FLAT and Fun course. The course is USATF certified and perfect for setting new personal records or for the first time runner. The 5K run is a great way to stay in shape and pay tribute, while the Military Mile is family and stroller friendly. All participants will receive a T-shirt, sponsored goodies, and free BBQ lunch after the race. Half Marathon participants will also receive a collectors 'Finisher Medal'.
