Brief Description

Catch “Spring Fever” at the 7th Annual event, which offers scenic diversity from the historic homes to the river. There are themed water stations to get you motivated and massage therapists to ease those aching muscles at the end!

In addition to the Half Marathon, Relay and the 5K, is the Lionhearted Kids’ Run on April 15th.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh, Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Services, Inc. and the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.

Registration Fees increase after 2/18

Lionhearted Kid's Run Information

Registration: Friday, April 15 from 5 - 6 p.m. at the Leach Amphitheater. Event Start: 6:00 p.m.

The start and finish are at the Leach Amphitheater.

All kids receive a t-shirt, goody bag, finishers' medal, food and fun after their event! Awards to the top 3 male and female winners for each age 3 - 10.

Health Expo, Registration, & Packet Pick-up

Friday, April 15 from noon - 8 p.m. and day of event from 5:30 - 7:15 a.m. at the City Center Hotel in downtown Oshkosh. Pick up your race information, register for the event and stay for the interesting and informative clinic and course talks held throughout the day. A complete clinic & course talk schedule will be posted on midwestsportsevents.com three weeks prior to the event.

The Course

Click Here to View the Course Map The course begins in downtown Oshkosh and goes to Algoma Blvd, past the University, then the Paine Art Center and Oshkosh Public Museum. The course jumps onto the Wiowash Trail, crosses the Wisconsin St. Bridge and then to South Park. The course heads east , then north and ends at the Leach Ampitheatre. Water/Gatorade and Hammergel is provided.

Pace Teams

As a benefit to the marathon runners we will be offering pace teams led by experienced pacers for a wide variety of times including many of the Boston qualifying standards. We hope you will find this support useful as you strive to achieve your marathon goals. Pace Team times include: 1:30 minutes, 1:40 minutes, 1:50 minutes, 2 hours and 2:10 minutes.

Awards

Midwest Sports Events prides themselves with unique awards! Participation medals to all Half Marathoners. Overall awards to the top female and male in each distance and age group winners in the following 5 year age categories: 14 & under to 95. Plus top 3 Athena, Clydesdale and Relay. Part of the 5-STAR Series.

Midwest Sports Events Amenities

All participants receive a dri-wick shirt, goody bag, chip timing, and plenty of entertainment! Themed water stations and energizing bands along the entire course and at the finish line.

POST EVENT PARTY

Post event buffet complete with healthy foods to refuel. Plenty of beer also, compliments of Stevens Point Brewery. Music to massage the mind and massage therapists for the body.

2 or 3 Person Half Marathon Relay

You have the option of putting together either a 2 or 3 person Relay Team for the Half Marathon. There will be 2 transition sites, at miles 4.5 & 9. For more information, visit our website, www.midwestsportsevents.com.

Midwest Sports Events Refund Policy

There will be NO REFUNDS issued for ANY reason. There are absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.

TRANSFER FROM 2011 TO 2012 EVENT There will be NO TRANSFERS from this year's event to future year events.

RACE FEE TRANSFER There will be NO TRANSFER OF FEES from one race to another.
