Brief Description

Half Marathon - 13.1 miles 5K - 3.1 miles Kids' Run - distances vary by age (ages 3-10)

The Course

The course begins in downtown Oshkosh and goes to Algoma Blvd, past the University, then the Paine Art Center and Oshkosh Public Museam. The course jumps onto the Wiowash Trail, corsses the Wisconsin St. Bridge and then to South Park. The course heads north and ends at the Leach Amphitheatre.

Pace Teams

As a benefit to the marathon runners we will be offering pace teams led by experienced pacers for a wide variety of times including many of the Boston qualifying standards. We hope you will find this support useful as you strive to achieve your marathon goals. Pace Team times include: 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2 hours and 2:10.

GE Pasta Dinner

GE will be hosting a pasta dinner. The all-you-can-eat dinner will take place on April 17, 2010, from 4:00-7 p.m at the City Center Hotel, downtown Oshkosh. Pasta, fresh fruits, vegetables, an assortment of breads, beverages, AND a very special guest speaker. Pasta dinner is $8 for adults, $4 for kids ages 5-12 and FREE for kids 4 & under. All proceeds from the ticket sales will directly benefit Arc-Winnebago County Disability Association.

GE Pasta Dinner Speaker

Midwest Sports Events is pleased to present Brian McWilliams as this year's GE Pasta Dinner Speaker. Brian is a Licensed Athletic Trainer and was a member of the USA medical staff at the 2010 and 2006 Olympics. His topic, "How to Sustain, Not Strain" will focus how to sustain longer distance events, with fewer training miles, yet reaching your goals.

Awards

Midwest Sports Events prides themselves with unique awards! Participation medals to all 1/2 Marathoners. Overall awards to the top female and male in each distance and age group winners in the following 5 year age categories: 14 & under to 95. Plus top Athena, Clydesdale and Relay.

Midwest Sports Events Amenities

All participants receive a dri-wick shirt, goody bag, chip timing, and plenty of entertainment! Themed water stations and energizing bands along the entire course and at the finish line. Post event buffet complete with healthy foods to refuel. Mustic to massage the mind and massage therapists for the body.

Health Expo, Registration, & Packet Pick-up

Saturday, April 17 from noon - 8 p.m. and day of event from 5-7 a.m. at the City Center Hotel in downtown Oshkosh. Pick up your race information, register for the event and stay for the interesting and informative clinic and course talks held throughout the day. A complete clinic & course talk schedule will be posted on midwestsportsevents.com three weeks prior to the event. Kids' Registration will be available at the Leach Amphitheater on Saturday, April 17 from 8 - 9 a.m.

2 or 3 Person Half Marathon Relay

You have the option of putting together either a 2 or 3 person Relay Team for the Half Marathon. There will be 2 transition sites, at miles 4.5 & 9. For more information, visit our website, www.midwestsportsevents.com.

Lionhearted Kids' Run

Registration is on Saturday April 17th from 8 - 9 a.m. at the Leach Amphitheater. The Lionhearted Kids' Run will start and finish at the Leach Amphitheater. Event starts Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. The Lionhearted Run teaches kids to be strong and kind.

Lionhearted Kids' Run Amenities

All kids receive a t-shirt, goody bag, finishers' medal, food and fun after their event! Awards to the top 3 male and female winners for each age 3 - 10.

Refund Policy

Midwest Sports Events does not give refunds or transfer fees to another event or another person.
