Brief Description

5K/10K Run-Walk **The race will be on a closed course, beginning at the San Pablo Dam boat launch ramp, at the San Pablo Reservoir located at the Orinda entrance (not the El Sobrante entrance) to the Reservoir. No cars will be allowed into the Reservoir after 8:40 am, the gates will be CLOSED.

Race Packet Pickup

Pick up your packet on Race Day. We will open at 7:00 am. Allow yourself extra time to park, pick up, and get ready to run. See ya there !

CLOSED - Registration

You can always come to the Race and Register. We will be open at 7:00 am on Race Day !!!

Oline Registration

We are thrilled with the turnout, but logistics for prepping for the event will require us to close online registration one day early on 12/11. You can still some to the race and register on race day, no problem. Just getting t-shirt orders, timer bib/chip assignment, and Pre-Reg Stockings prepared will take us an extra day. Hope we didn't catch you watching that deadline date!

Pre-Registration

Pre-Registered runners will pick up their packet on Race Day with a Dam Jingle Bell t-shirt packed into their Christmas Stocking!

Dress for the Holidays

We'll have Jingle Bells to pin to your shirt or shoes. So, you bring your Santa Hat and pin on the Bells and we'll Jingle along, All the Way Home !

DASH to SANTA

Bring the kids ages 3-10 for a FREE DASH to SANTA with each Registered Adult. 100 Yards and Santa will have a custom dog tag medal for all the kids. Encourage the kids to come out and be active, it makes for a great template for the rest of their lives!

Awards

For the 5K and 10K, Plaques to the Overall Male and Female, Medals 3 deep in 5 year age groups and Finisher Custom Dog Tag medals to all. In addition we honor our age groups 40+ with Plaques to the Male and Female winner in 10 year age groups.

Race Day Finish

We'll have lots of Holiday treats in addition to the traditional post race offerings. It's going to be a fun, happy, and festive Kick Off to your Holiday Happenings. Hope to see you there!

The Venue

The Orinda/San Pablo Reservoir is a beautiful park area with a fabulous view of the Lake/Reservoir and East Bay Mud graciously permits us to run their well groomed trails. This venue adds such a special air of beauty and natural outdoor appeal. You will love the sunrise, mist, and Autumn Colors, can't be beat!

Strollers/Joggers

Strollers and Joggers are welcome on the 5K. The 10K is all Trail and too narrow and too rough on the kids. Please start towards the back of the pack when the 5K race begins.

Dogs

We love them too, but not for this race. There will be many small children who can be frightened of dogs. Thank you for leaving Fido at home this time.

Additional Information

Best Directions to the Boat Launch Entrance: From Orinda (Hwy 24) go west 2.4 miles on Camino Pablo; turn right at the San Pablo Reservoir Boat Launch (Old San Pablo Dam Road) and follow the service road 1.5 miles to parking lots. From I-80 take San Pablo Dam Road Exit; East 8.9 miles on San Pablo Dam road (to the 2nd entrance, close to Orinda, not El Sobrante). Turn left at San Pablo Reservior Boat Launch (Old San Pablo Dam rd.) and follow the service road 1.5 miles to parking lots.
