Brief Description

This 8K Jacksonville Grand Prix event features a fast and beautiful course along the St. Johns River. There is a free One Mile Fun Run that follows the 8k race at 9:30am.

Directions

From Jacksonville: Take I-295 to U.S. 17 and exit South. Parking is provided at the Orange Park Kennel Club on the East side of U.S. 17 (left side if you are headed South (towards Green Cove Springs)). The Orange Park Kennel Club is about 1/2 mile South of I-295. From Orange Park: The Orange Park Kennel Club is located at the intersection of US 17 and Wells Rd, across from McDonalds.

Race Packet Pick-Up

Pre-Race Packet Pickup is available at 1st Place Sports stores on the Thursday & Friday before the race, from 10am - 6pm. 1st Place Sports store locations are: Orange Park at 2186 Park Ave (904) 264-3767; Jacksonville at 3931 Baymeadows (904) 264-3767; Jacksonville at 2016 San Marco Blvd (904) 399-8880; Jacksonville Beach at 424 South 3rd Street (904)731-3676.

Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-Up

You can register or pick up your 8K race packet beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the Orange Park Kennel Club on Race Day.

Fun Run

The Fun Run begins at 9:30 a.m. in the large field behind the Kennel Club. The Fun Run is free and open to all, but you must register and pick up a running number to participate. Ribbons to all finishers and prize money is available to participating schools. Registration forms are available on Race Day. ChampionChip Timing

ChampionChip timing will be provided for all 8K registrants. If you have your own ChampionChip and you register PRIOR to race day, you will receive a $2 discount from your race registration fee. Your personal chip number needs to be provided when registering. Personal ChampionChips cannot be used if you register on Race Day.
