Weather

The temperature and humidity in Nebraska can be variable. Most September days are sunny and breezy with an average temperature of about 50 degrees at 6:30 a.m., with winds between 5-10 mph.

Timing and Pacing

The Omaha Marathon will use MyLap Timing. The Omaha Running Club will provide pace setters for runners wishing to finish in 3:00 hours, increasing in 15-minute increments up to 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Water stations

Water stops will be located approximately every mile along the course. Energy drinks (Gatorade), sports gels will be provided.

Results

Results of all three events will be posted within 36 hours on the Internet at www.omahamarathon.com

Pasta Dinner

Dinner will be held from 4-6pm on September 21st at the Holiday Inn and food presented by the Union Bar & Grill on 15th and Cuming Street. Pasta dinner is $5 for participants, $10 for public, we have DOOR PRIZES, and much more! Bring the family!

Expo/Packet Pickup

The Expo and Packet Pickup will be held on September 21st from 10am-5pm at the Hilton Hotel 1001 Cass Street in their awesome ballroom! NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Race course

Start at MIKE FAHEY BLVD & 11th Street and Finish Line at TD AMERITRADE PARK STADIUM, LOT C LIVE MUSIC ALONG THE COURSE and PARTY at finish line. For more info, log on to http://www.omahamarathon.com

FULL DRESSED MARINES will greet you at the finish line as they present you with your finisher's medallion as well as support you throughout the race! We are proud to have the United States Marine Corp-Engineer Maintenance Company, Omaha NE, join us again this year to assist with the success of the weekend events!

Recycled GLASS Finisher's Medallion

Come join us to celebrate our 38th Annual where we will continue our GREEN initative! The full & half marathon finishers will receive a medallion made of RECYCLED glass by local artists that are also SUNCATCHERS that you can display proudly in window and remind you of your accomplishment! (Half-marathoner's receive clear glass, and Full-marathoner's a multi-colored glassmedallion).

Buford Foundation
