Brief Description

2nd annual Run for the Heroes 5K run/walk for the Wounded Warrior Project.

All proceeds will go directly to the Wounded Warriors Project. Last year we raised over $6800 for the WWP !!

This is a family friendly 5K walk/run starting at Fulton Jr. High School in O'Fallon, IL. The race is open to ages 10 and older. No pet’s please.

Awards to overall men’s and women’s winners and medals to men’s and women’s first place finishers in seven age categories.

Additional Information

The course is mostly flat but does have one small hill. It is on public streets and sidewalks for the entire course. There will be race marshals positioned at all street intersections.

Each paying participant who registers prior to Nov 3th will receive a race t-shirt. There will be shirts available on race day however your size may not be available.

Who I am and why am I organizing this race? I am a C-130 pilot for the Illinois Air National Guard and have deployed to Iraq/Afghanistan 7 times in the past 10 years. One of the duties of my job is to fly injured servicemen and servicewomen off the battle field. It is one of the most important duties of my job. I have a passion for helping our wounded warriors and have decided to organize this event for that purpose.
