What is Love for Landon?

Love for Landon 5K Run/Walk is an event created to benefit a local 5 year old boy who was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. While none of us can imagine the pain and suffering this sweet little boy has had to endure or the heartache his family feels while he fights for his life, we can, however, come together as a community to give our support and show our love to one of Ocala's own sons.

Directions & Race Route

This event starts and finishes at Marion Technical Institue (old Forest High School) located in the Historic District of Ocala off of Fort King Street. Participants will run/walk through the beautiful, tree lined streets of the Woodfields Neighborhood located directly behind MTI. Ocala Police Department will be on hand for the safety of the participants and maintaining traffic. (See course map below.)

Event Schedule

Welcome everyone! Pre-race to include beverages and snack for participants, Day of Registrations, and Late Check- Ins. Runner Pace Times at Mile 1, water served Mile 2 and as participants cross the Finish Line. Post-race to include Bounce House for kids, Star Wars Characters presented by the 501st Legion, Award Ceremony including Medals for First Overall Male and Female and Top 3 Male & Female in the following age groups 19 & Under/20-29/30-39/40-49/50-59/60+

Packet Pick Up Details

The Best Runner's Packet in Central Florida can be picked up between the hours of 2pm and 8pm at Walker Park located on SE 8th Street in the Woodfields Neighborhood of Ocala, behind MTI. Day of Check In will begin at 7:00am at MTI, along with any Same Day Registrants. Cost of Same Day Registrants is $25 for Adults and $20 for 17 & Under. Race will start at 7:45am

Additonal Safety

Event will provide to 2 Emergency Medical Technicians as First Aid Team.
