Brief Description

Pine Valley 5k & 15 Miler will be held August 7 in Pine Valley, Utah at 7:00 am. This will be a very scenic race, and the temperature should be relatively moderate near the mountains. Both courses are dirt, and long course is HILLY! www.sgrcseries.net.

Course Description

The course for this years Pine Valley race has moved out of town and will take place on Dixie National Forest Road past Grass Valley. It is out and back style with graded dirt road surface. This run is absolutely beautiful, and possibly my favorite run, but it is not easy! 15 Miler has significant elevation change with lots of short hills. Map and elevations forthcoming.

Race Date

We moved the race date up one weekend this year to eliminate conflict with the bow hunt.

SGRC Series

In the past, this event has been part of the SGRC Series. We decided not to hold the series this year, simply because it takes so much work! Hopefully, you guys will enjoy this race all on its own!

Additional Information

This is a fantastic run! Course takes place above 6500’, with cool temperatures, inspiring scenery, and the peaceful feel of nature. Race is out and back on Dixie National Forest land, starting North of Pine Valley town in Grass Valley, and continuing toward Pinto on National Forest Road. Terrain is 100% graded dirt road. Long course is Hilly! Awards will be given for overall and age groups 1st-3rd. Raffle prizes will be given out after each race is finished. Race gift included in registration is an insulated 24 oz Polar Bottle with race logo printed on the side.
