We are certainly thrilled to have you join us Saturday morning for the First Annual 5K benefitting the MCG PA students and our student-run clinic! It is supposed to be cold so dress warm!
Race check-in will be at the Hammond Ferry Soccer Complex from 7:30am-8:10am Sat, Jan 14. There should be plenty of parking at the soccer complex, but if you prefer to park at the Activity Center you can walk 0.3 miles down the greenway to the check-in spot. At check-in you will receive your goodie bag (with T-shirt) and race bib. The race will begin promptly at 8:30am (the start line is approximately 0.15 miles north of check-in on the greenway).
The race course follows the greenway south along the riverview loop and back to end at the soccer complex. There will be signs posted and volunteers along the way to help guide you.
The finish line is at the Hammond Ferry Soccer Complex where we will have complimentary munchies! The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female participants will receive a medal and the 1st place winners will also receive a giftcard to Fleet Feet Sports.
Directions to Hammond Ferry Soccer Complex:
From Augusta: Take the 13th street bridge into North Augusta, SC. This will become Georgia Ave as you enter SC. Go about 0.7 mi and turn left onto W Buena Vista Ave. In 0.8 mi, turn left onto Riverview Park Dr. This will curve around 420ft and then take a left onto Hammonds Ferry Rd. You will see the soccer complex and race check-in as you pull in to the right to park.
