Brief Description

The Nixa Youth Triathlon is just an awesome event! We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy putting it on. This Christian County Optimist Club sponsored event is completely focused on promoting the sport of triathlon to our children (and now PARENTS and older siblings can join the fun in the 16+ exhibition division!). This event is ALL about the KIDS! The t-shirts are COOL, the medals are COOL and the pizza party afterward is COOL! Filled with lots of awards and give-a-ways!

Directions

From the corner of Hwy 160 and Hwy 14, travel east on Hwy 14 (Mr. Vernon St.) to Main St. Turn north on Main St. and travel to the three-way stop. Turn east on North St. and travel to Taylor Way - The Center is on the north side of the street.

Additional Information

The Nixa Youth Triathlon will offer age groups consistent with USA Triathlon Youth Nationals. The age groups and distances are: Juniors – 7-8 / 9-10 100yd Swim / 5K Bike / 1K Run; Seniors – 11-12 / 13-15 200yd Swim / 10K Bike / 2K Run; 16+ Exhibition - (Limited to the first 60) 200yd Swim / 10K Bike / 2K Run

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States. Participation in a USAT sanctioned event means the event director has the proper permits in place, liability and athlete excess medical insurance coverage and the event plan has met the standard of organization required. USA Triathlon provides rules, guidance and governance to set the standard for safe and fair multi-sport races.
