The Race

Join for a unique race opportunity to support technology in classrooms throughout Alachua County. Newberry High School will be hosting the first every Pi-Day 5k in celebration of March 14th, or Pi Day as it is more commonly known. To commemorate this event, our race will be 3.14 miles!

The Cause

The Pi Day 5k supports the race for technology in the classroom. All profits will be used for improving technology to benefit students in Alachua County.

Location

Join us for a walk/run through beautiful downtown Newberry, FL. The race will begin and end at the Newberry High School track and will take you throughout the quaint city. Along route you will pass all of the local schools, popular local restaurants and locally owned businesses.

Registration

Online registration ends at midnight on March 3rd. Day of registration will still be available, but a t-shirt is not guaranteed. Register before March 3rd so you don't miss out! Mailed in registrations will also be accepted, please send them in before March 3rd. Mail in registration along with a check or money order to Pi Day 5k C/O Newberry High School 400 SW 259th Street Newberry, FL 32669 Make checks payable to Newberry High School. Registration forms may also be hand-delivered.

Additional Information

All participates registering before March 3rd will receive a Pi-Day 5k T-shirt. The first 100 finishers will recieve a medal, with the top finishers in each category receiving a gold medal! If you wish to support a specific Middle or High School, please indicate so on the registration form.

Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up will be on Wednesday March 6th from 3:30 pm-8:00 pm at Fit 2 Run in the Oaks Mall (located near the food court). The first 100 participants to pick up their race packet will receive a coupon for a free Subway sandwich at the race. If you are unable to attend packet pick-up on Wednesday, arrive early on Saturday March 9th and go to the registration table.
