Additional Information
This is one of the most festive holiday events in the country. Runners and walkers are encouraged to come out and check out the beautiful two mile course in City Park. The Park is decorated for the holiday season with over 500,000 lights. Afterward, participants can enjoy themselves at the post-race party and also receive a complimentary entry with your BIB number to the Walking Tour of the beautifully decorated Botanical Garden, Storyland and Carousel Gardens. A commemorative, glow-in-the-dark, long sleeve T-Shirt is offered to all. Note: Shirt sizes are not guaranteed to Race Day and No Show entrants.
PLACE: All event activities take place on Victory Avenue. Parking is FREE, but limited, inside the Park. Parking is also available on both Marconi Avenue and City Park Avenue.
The PRE RACE Celebration: Dress in Holiday Garb! A warm up session follows SANTA's arrival at 3:00 pm!
The POST RACE Celebration: The family oriented refreshments will be served following the race until 5:10 pm ... when the drive thru tour will begin. Swiss Miss hot chocolate & JAVARAMA "Great Coffee to Go" from Standard Coffee Service, Keebler cookies, Abita Light beer, soft drinks, Kentwood Springs Water and Gatorade will be available after the race.
