Brief Description

Mayor Karl Dean is encouraging all Nashvillians to join him on Sunday, Nov. 18 at PublicSquare Park in Downtown Nashville to walk or run in the 2nd Annual Mayor’s Challenge 5K and Kids’ Fun Run. Activities start at noon. The Kids’ Fun Run begins at 2 p.m. The 5K begins at 2:15 p.m. Participants are encouraged to arrive at least one hour before their start time. Participating in the 5K is completely free, and individuals of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to join.

Never participated in a 5K before? Here’s your chance! Metro Parks and Recreation is hosting a free, eight-week training program starting Monday, Sept. 24 to help get you ready. Learn more about the training program at www.MayorsChallenge5K.com.
