Brief Description

Powerman Muncie Duathlons will be held on Oct. 2, 2010 and will feature an awesome 3-lap 60k bike course for the 1st Powerman Muncie duathlons held at Prairie Creek Reservoir in Muncie, Indiana. The home of multi-sport events since 1980, this is one of the best venues in the country and features a parking and transition area adjoining, rolling hills, family park area and great racing.

If this is your first race or a seasoned vet, Muncie Multi-Sport hopes you and your family enjoy the events at PCR as we have for many years. MMS events will have: Certified race distances, prayer and National Anthem before the event, USAT sanctioned, Chip timing for faster awards and a family friendly atmosphere in a park setting

Powerman Muncie Long Course Duathlon: 10k run/60k bike/10k run, Du Sprint 5k run/20k bike/5k run-1 lap on bike Olyl Du 10k run/40k bike/5k run- 2 laps on bike plus a 5k individual run-out and back 10k individual run-out and back Pro race at 12:40pm women/1:00pm men

Course description

The Powerman course features a perfect 20k bike course loop 3 times and a hard 5k/10k out and back on rolling hills and a nice hard finish-twice!

Who is Muncie Multi-Sport, Inc.

We are multi-sport athlete's just like you. From our first tri in 1992 or 2000 to Powerman Alabama (4), the Muncie Endurathon(7), Ironman Florida (1) and all distanes of triathlon and road racing up to the marathon, we know the joy and pain. The RD leading the 1996 ITU LC Worlds and 2002 USAT LC Nationals as well.

Professionals will have a $7,000.00 to split among the top men and top women Elites will have $1,050 to split in the three duathlon regional championship races

USA Triathlon Mideast Regional Duathlon Champ!

On October 2 Powerman Muncie is host of the Mideast Regional Duathlon Championship plus a number of other great events. Join us for a great weekend of duathlon! Use our Active.com coupon code MMSI2010 for $10.00 off for all 3 duathlons distances. The expo and packet pick-up will be at Stoops on October 1, and is not mandatory for the age group athlete. However, there will be a pro press conference that day at Stoops.

Additional information

Registration is limited to 400 age group athletes and will remain open if needed on race week and race day. We will let you know how many slots are open as they number gets closer to 400. The events will feature a sprint duathlon, Oly distance duathlon and the Powerman long course distance, 5k and 10k road races, overall winner and age group awards as well as post race lunch, music and much more
