Brief Description

The Vaughn Forest Resurrection Run 10K will begin at 8:00am and the 5K will begin at approximately 8:30am. The 1 mile walk/run will start at 9:30am. The 5K will use part of the 10K route and will be suitable for walkers and runners.

Race Day Registration

Race day registration for 10K, 5K & 1m will be available at 7:00am at Vaughn Forest Church! NO SHIRTS for 1 mile.

Packet Pickup

Early packet pickup will be on Friday, April 6, 2012 at Montgomery MultiSport from 4:00pm-7:00pm. MMS is located in the Pepper Tree Shopping Center. Late packet pickup will be on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Vaughn Forest Church 7:00am.

Benefit and Donations

This event will be conducted by the United Appeal Fund, with proceeds going to benefit Urban TREC Ministries, an inner-city mission.

Urban TREC Booth

Trudy, from Urban TREC, will have a donation table set up on race day to take in men's, women's, and children's Spring/Summer clothes. Other items that can be donated are hygiene packs such as shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, and travel size wet wipes. Items can also be donated separately. Donation receipts will be available. Thank you!

Prizes and Awards

For 10K & 5K races, we will offer the following to the winners.

  • $100 for 1st overall male and female
  • $75 for 2nd overall male and female
  • $50 for 3rd overall male and female
  • $100 for overall male and female masters

Additional Information

The Vaughn Forest Resurrection Run 10K and 5K takes walkers and runners through a flat and fast route in one of East Montgomery’s favorite neighborhoods, Deer Creek. Fast runners and casual walkers will have plenty of space to share as they take on the 10K or 5K challenge. The 1-mile run will take walkers and runners around the Vaughn Forest Church campus. 10K and 5K participants will receive a short-sleeve technical t-shirt and a SWAG bag. Proceeds from this event will benefit the inner city missions of Montgomery. Refreshment stations will be provided at the half way mark of each race.
