Proceeds benefit the Modesto Parks Recreation and Neighborhood Scholarship Program for low income children, seniors, and disabled citizens as well as the Howard Training Center 'Meals On Wheels' program. The Modesto Gospel Mission will receive all donated canned food items.
Informally known as the "Help Santa Chase the Grinch out of Modesto" kids fun run. Kids!! help Santa chase the Grinch out of Modesto and save Christmas. Candy canes and medals for all participants 10 and under. Take a free picture with Santa. One donated food item per entry, though not required, would be greatly appreciated. Kids Fun Run will not be timed.
Bring one canned food item to the kids fun run and receive a ticket for the drawing of a FREE KIDS BICYCLE!!
Bring a canned good or non perishable food item and win a great raffle prize. Raffle tickets are given out on a per item basis. One item = one ticket. 10 items =10 tickets, to a maximum of 10 tickets per person. All 10 item donations qualify for the GRAND PRIZE drawing for a Bicycle
$100 to first overall male/female, $50 to second overall male/female, $25 to third overall male/female. $50 to first masters male/female, $25 to second masters male/female. AND: Medals for first, second, and third place male and female in each age group. All participants in Kids Fun Run receive medals.
Adults: $25/$30 Race Day Children 12 and under: $10/12 Race Day
Out and back loop through Modesto Junior College area and Graceda Park area neighborhoods on paved streets.
5K starts at 8:00 am Kids Fun Run starts at 9:15am
Early bib pickup is available at On the Run running store in McHenry Village Dec. 7th from 12 noon till 7:00 PM. Race day bib pickup starts at 6:30 am at the ShadowChase Running Club office at 1101 M St, across from the start line.
12 and under, 13 to 19, 20 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, 70 to 74, 75 to 79, 80+ male and female
