Event Description:
THE CAUSEway 5K is a benefit run to raise awareness that the cycle of addiction can be broken and to raise contributions for Alabama Teen Challenge. For more than 50 years Teen Challenge has been providing quality, low cost drug and alcohol recovery programs for individuals of all ages. Although many have benefited from their association with the Teen Challenge program, this run is not about those from our 50 year past - It is about the 19 million Americans who need help with their addiction today. Support THE CAUSE!
Packet Pick-up and Late Registration Opens at 6:15 AM on race morning at Battleship Park.
Awards: Top male and female 5K Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, Senior Grandmasters, and Race Walkers. Top three male and female 5K in age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-99.
Shirts: Pre-registered participants will be guaranteed a t-shirt on race day.
Post-Race Party: Food and beverages will be provided after the race. All registered participants will be eligible for door prizes.
